Sierra Pacific Industries operates the Eureka Dock facility on Humboldt Bay in Eureka, California. The dock receives wood chips from Sierra Pacific and other sawmills from throughout California. The chips are shipped by barge to domestic pulp mills to make household paper products. Lumber is also delivered to the dock for shipment to foreign and domestic markets.
The dock facility also offloads logs delivered by barge or ship for processing in local sawmills.
